నాకైతే ఏదో రోజు ఈ తీవ్రమైన సంఘర్షణ తట్టుకోలేక అన్ని ఇక్కడే వదిలేసి ఇండియా వచ్చి బీదజనుల సేవ చేసుకోవాలని పిస్తోంది. అందరూ నన్ను పిచ్చివాడంటారేమొ! అననివ్వు, ఇన్ని బాధల మద్యా, ఆకలి కేకల మద్యా నవ్వుతూ బతకడం కంటే వారి మద్యనే ఆ బాధల్ని అనుభవిస్తూ చావడం మంచిదేమొ! ఇన్ని ఘోరాల మద్య, నేరాల మద్య, ఆకలి దప్పుల మద్యా చలం ప్రేమ లేఖలో, కాళిదాసు అభిజ్ఞాన శాకుంతలమో చదువుతూ ఆనందింపలేకున్నాను. ఎప్పటికైనా నా గమ్యము అదే అనిపిస్తుంది. దీనజన సేవే అసలైన దైవ సేవ అనిపిస్తొంది. ఇప్పుడిప్పుడే నాకు దారి స్పష్టమవుతోంది.

ఈనాటి సినిమా గురించి ‘ఏమున్నది గర్వకారణం’ అన్నట్లు చెఫ్పుకోవడానికి ఏమీ లేదు. ఈ దర్శకులూ, నిర్మాతలూ, నాయకులు, నాయకీలు అంతా ఒకే ధ్యేయంతో ఒక తపస్సులా ప్రేమ గురించి (యవ్వన ప్రేమ మాత్రమే) పరిశోధిస్తున్నారా అనిపిస్తుంది. ఎన్ని పేర్లు, ఎన్ని కథలు, ఎన్ని పాటలు?? కనీసం పాత సినిమాలు ప్రేమాంశమైనవే అయినా, అందులో హీరో పేదవాడయి, నాయకి ధనవంతురాలి కూతురై అలా పల్లెలొ మొదలై పట్నంతో ముగుస్తుంది.
కానీ ఇప్పుడొస్తున్న సినిమాలు చుస్తే, అసలు పల్లెటూళ్ళే లేనట్లు, పేదరికమే లేనట్లు, ఏ కష్టమూ లేక ప్రియురాలి ప్రేమ పొందడమే జన్మ సాఫల్యమన్నట్లూ, కార్లలో షికారులూ, ఖరీదైన పార్టీలూ, విదేశాల్లో షికారులూ …..
మనిషికీ మనిషికీ మద్య ఈ సినిమా ప్రేమ బంధం తప్ప ఇంకే అనురాగమూ లేదా? ఇంకే బంధాన్నీ సినిమాగా తీయలేమా? సినిమాని ఇంత కృత్రిమంగా కాకుండా ఇంకొంచం సహజత్వానికి దగ్గరగా తీస్తే ఎంత బాగుండును!!!!
